Erica has taken on the role of Program Officer at Standing Tall because she is passionate about helping young people in our region.

Erica has previously worked at Hamilton Medical Group as a medical receptionist and is currently working part-time as office administrator at Tarrington Lutheran School. Erica has experience as a dietitian working in a psychiatric hospital, rehabilitation facilities and in both the public and private health sectors. Before moving to Australia, Erica also contributed to the family’s short-term insurance business, LBO Enterprises.

Family is very important to her, and she loves being a mum to two busy, beautiful children and wife to Heinrich, who is a teacher at the Hamilton and Alexandra College. Erica and her family have been part of the Hamilton Community since immigrating from South Africa in 2017. The Burmeister family is proud to have gained Australian citizenship in 2023 and looks forward to continuing contributing to this wonderful community.
