Congratulations to our friend and the founder of Standing Tall in Hamilton Inc. Jeanette Pritchard, awarded an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) for her service to youth and to secondary education.

As the Founder of Standing Tall in Hamilton Inc. Jeanette was instrumental in leading the establishment of our award-winning, school-based mentoring program back in 2003 at Baimbridge College. She has since gone on to be a long-term friend and partner of the program, regularly communicating with our team, offering support and guidance as the program continues to flourish in the region. Jeanette never left the mentoring space, and has a vision to have a strong cohesive society where young people are valued and supported to fulfil their potential. She continues to make a contribution to building cohesive communities by facilitating connections between young people in schools and supportive members of the community through the establishment of mentoring relationships.

In her book, The Language of Hope, Jeanette explores why young people have lost hope in society and what we can do about it.

Congratulations Jeanette on this most deserved honour. We are so proud of you and so grateful for the hard work you did to create Standing Tall and bringing the wonderful gift of school-based mentoring to youth in our region.
