As we come to the end of Term 4, we find ourselves reflecting with immense pride and gratitude on what has been a big and meaningful finish to the year at Standing Tall in Hamilton.
Term 4 is always a time of momentum, celebration and transition — and this year was no exception. Across our partner schools, mentoring sessions continued right through to the end of term, providing consistency and support for students at a time when routines change and emotions can run high. We celebrated student growth, acknowledged mentor dedication, supported graduations and farewells, and worked closely with schools to prepare for the year ahead.
Behind the scenes, Term 4 was equally full. We confirmed student transitions into 2026, welcomed new referrals in preparation for the new year, supported our volunteer mentors, strengthened partnerships (we even welcomed a new school partner - watch this space), and continued the important work of governance, sourcing funding and planning to ensure Standing Tall remains strong, safe and sustainable into the future. We also took time to pause and celebrate — recognising the incredible contribution of our volunteers, supporters and community who make this program possible.
As we close out the year, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to every mentor, student, school partner, parent/carer, donor, volunteer and supporter who has walked alongside us in 2025. Your belief in young people, and in the power of consistent, caring relationships, continues to shape lives in ways that truly matter.
With Christmas just around the corner, we wish our entire Standing Tall community a Merry Christmas and a safe, restful and joyful New Year. We hope the holiday period brings you time to rest, reconnect and recharge with those you love.
Please note that the Standing Tall office will be closed from 24 December and will re-open on Monday 12 January 2026. We look forward to returning refreshed and ready for another impactful year of mentoring.
