Mentoring Matters - Issue 3, 2026

15 September 2026

Welcome to the 3rd edition of Mentoring Matters for 2026!

This issue is a celebration of connection, community, and the many people who help make Standing Tall possible. As we look back on another busy and rewarding term, we’re proud to share some of the stories, achievements, and moments that have shaped our year so far.

Inside this issue, we celebrate the generosity of our community, from the support of our valued foundations to the wonderful participation in Jolly Socks Week. We also share some of the activities and opportunities that have brought students and mentors together throughout the term.

Our mentoring activities continue to create opportunities for students and mentors to connect, share experiences, and enjoy time together. From decorating cakes to painting wooden toy cars, these simple activities provide meaningful opportunities for conversation, creativity, and connection.

We also look ahead to the future, with recruitment for our 2027 Mentor Program now underway. As we continue to grow, we’re grateful for the volunteers, schools, partners, supporters, and community members who help make it all possible.

Thank you for being part of the Standing Tall community. We hope you enjoy this edition of Mentoring Matters and seeing some of the wonderful things happening across our program.

Standing Tall in Hamilton acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land and in each of the communities in which we live and work, and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
